In 2008 more than 100 teams in the Black & Blue tournament shared a whopping $2.0 million dollars in cash prizes. Joining them, 70 Los Cabos Offshore teams and more than 50 East Cape Offshore teams helped the awarded cash prizes reach a grand total of $3.5 million dollars.
The Bisbee's Black & Blue Marlin Tournament awarded over $2 million dollars to a team from Texas, the 2nd largest team purse in sport fishing history. The Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament also recorded an 870 lb. Blue Marlin, the 2nd largest marlin ever weighed in the tournament's history.
